🚨 UPDATED STATUS @ 7:15 AM 2/12/2021: After further assessment of the roads this morning, Shelby Eastern Schools will be closed again today, Friday, February 12th. With the current road conditions, it is not safe to transport students, especially in the southern half of our district. Virtual learning assignments will be posted by 11:00 AM with this later notice. Stay safe!

Shelby Eastern Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, February 2nd. Because there are still icy patches on our county roads where snow has drifted overnight, having better visibility with daylight and allowing our County Highway Department time to address trouble spots will aid in our effort to allow for a safe commute to our campuses. Please be careful and take extra time to reach your destination!

🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Earlier this morning, a semi truck struck a power pole in Morristown. At this time, it does not appear our Morristown campus will be impacted by the ongoing repairs by Duke Energy, and therefore, we will not be releasing students early. If this should change, we will make a follow-up announcement.
