Although we couldn't host our traditional Veterans Day Programs this year due to the pandemic, our schools still found safe ways to celebrate our local Veterans. In Morristown, members of the Student Council at MES and MJSHS delivered 40 yard signs to Veterans spread across Morristown, Freeport, Fountaintown, Gwynneville, Manilla, and Rays Crossing. The collaboration between MES Principal Mr. Corn, MJSHS Principal Mr. Powers, and our Director of Transportation Katrina Falk brought the idea to life, with two special bus routes developed to deliver the yard signs between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM Wednesday morning. At the opposite end of the district, students at Waldron broadcasted a very special Veterans Day video on YouTube. The show includes a performance by the band, words of appreciation from students, and concluded with a performance of "Thank You" by Waldron students. Watch the program below:
