Disabled American Veterans - Field of Flags - Please help and Support this program!

Waldron Junior Senior High School is proud to participate in the DAV's Field of Flags program for another year! Last year we were able to honor 22 veterans and would love to honor more this year with the community's love and support!

DAV’s Field of Flags empowers our community to set up fields of American flags, all to honor local veterans and raise critical funds to support our ill and injured heroes.

Each flag represents one veteran – and our unwavering commitment to serving all veterans after they’ve sacrificed so much for our country.

All donations raise critical funds to support DAV’s life-changing services for veterans in need and their families.

Our Civil Construction students spent the day at the Driving the Future Industry Career Experience, hosted by the AED Foundation at the Marion County Fairgrounds!

It was an incredible opportunity for our students to step outside the classroom and dive straight into the equipment and technician industry. Throughout the event, they were able to:
● Get Hands-On Experience: Participating in interactive activities to learn real-world skills and processes directly from industry professionals.
● Connect with Employers: Meeting top companies, original manufacturers, and local equipment dealers looking to hire and grow their future workforce.
● Explore Career Paths: Discovering high-demand technician and equipment operator roles, plus taking home some awesome prizes and giveaways!

A huge thank you to the AED Foundation and all the industry partners involved for helping prepare our students for rewarding, high-demand careers. The future of civil construction is looking bright!

We depend on YOU, Mohawk Nation, to provide some of the area's best & most trusted hospitality, if not the state's. Anywhere I go, Waldron is known for how great we are with our guests, and when people come to our venue for any event. It is because of the great people in our community & our school that provide service to our guests for all of our ball games.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! We have multiple events with a desperate need for workers at our concession stand. Below is a sign-up list for the games that need workers. Please reach out to Mr. Coy, Miss Gibson, or Tracy Armstrong with any questions regarding working in the concession stand.

At Waldron Jr.-Sr. High School, we are committed to creating a focused and distraction-free learning environment where every Mohawk can thrive.

In compliance with Indiana Senate Enrolled Act 78, new state legislation requires a strict "Bell-to-Bell" policy regarding personal electronic devices during the school day.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what this means for our Mohawks:

🚫 Devices Included: Cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, personal laptops, and Bluetooth headphones/earbuds.

🔒 Where do devices go? Powered OFF and stored in your locker, left in your vehicle, or left at home.

🚫 Lunch & Passing Periods: Devices are NOT permitted during passing periods or lunch.

✔️ Exceptions: Statutory exceptions apply for documented IEP/504 Plans, medical needs, or language translation.

⚠️ Consequences: Failure to follow the policy may result in detention, suspension, or confiscation per the Student Handbook.

Let’s work together to build a distraction-free environment where our students THRIVE! 💙
