WES Car Rider Procedures Please follow the blue arrows on the map to enter the WES drop-off/pick-up line by traveling south on Race Street. Pull forward to one of the eight marked drop-off/pick-up spots. Please remain in line and do not pull out of the car line. Vehicles will be dismissed in order. Each car rider is assigned a pickup number. If your family had a number last year, it will remain the same. New car hangtags and backpack tags are available for anyone who needs them at Back to School Night. For everyone's safety, please remain in your vehicle during drop-off and pick-up. If your child needs help with a seatbelt or booster seat, have them get into the vehicle first, then pull forward to the designated area (marked with a yellow star on the map). You may exit your vehicle there to assist your child. Please do not block driveways along the route. Pre-School will be dismissed earlier each day. Please refer to Mrs. Thomas's pickup instructions. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping us keep arrival and dismissal safe and efficient for all students.

🚌 IMPORTANT: Transportation Registration
Due to a change in our transportation routing software, please double-check your child’s Transportation selection during registration. If there is any possibility your child will need transportation at any point during the school year, make sure “YES” is selected. Students who are not marked “YES” do not appear in our routing software and cannot be assigned to a bus route until their transportation selection is updated.

📢 Please Note: To help our staff prepare for the fall, it is vital that all enrollment forms are completed in their entirety. Take a few minutes to check this off your summer "To-Do" list today so you can get back to enjoying the sunshine!

We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic passing of former employee, Jacob Rader. While teaching at Waldron Elementary School, Jake made a lasting impact on our community. He was a remarkably kind, caring educator who worked tirelessly to support and uplift his students.

We wish to extend our deepest condolences to the South Decatur Elementary community, where Jake was currently serving as Assistant Principal. We know his leadership and warmth will be profoundly missed by their students, staff, and families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jake’s wife, children, extended family, and everyone in his school community during this difficult time.
