Happy RAINY Friday Afternoon! Several announcements as we head into this extended weekend.
1. NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 15th in honor of MLK Jr. Day. Students return to school on Tuesday.
2. Thank you to those who have been participating in the Pacers ticket fundraiser. If you are collecting funds and using the form sent home, please return to school once you are finished. All orders are due January 25th!
3. Add these IMPORTANT dates to your calendar:
Thursday, March 7th: Kindergarten Roundup at 6:00pm (Kindergarten students for 24-25)
Wednesday, April 3rd: K-5 Music Program at 7:00pm
Wednesday, April 10th: Preschool Parent Fair Meeting at 6:00pm (PK students for 24-25)

Good Morning, MES Families! A few announcements as we head into the weekend:
1. Report Cards and IREADY Reports will be coming home with students in grades K-5 today. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.
2. We are starting a fundraiser this semester selling Pacers tickets! Students are coming home with information packets today. For every ticket sold, part of the proceeds come back to MES. Students can also earn prizes along the way. On Wednesday, February 28th, MES will have a School Night at the Pacers vs. Pelicans game! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mr. Corn.

A special thank you to our local Girl Scouts and their leader, Megan Ramsey, for collecting canned goods for our food pantry!
This past Wednesday was National Mitten Tree Day. Our second grade students have been working to collect mittens for those in need. What a great way to give back! :)

A reminder that tomorrow is our first Festive Friday! We encourage students and staff to participate by wearing their best Christmas gear (Santa hats, ugly Christmas sweaters, Christmas PJ's, etc.) Look forward to seeing all the cheer! :)

Next week, students will have the option to participate in shopping from The Penguin Patch at school! Flyers should be coming home today (if they haven't already) with information. This is a great opportunity for students to do some holiday shopping on their own to buy gifts for loved ones at relatively low prices. We hope they enjoy!
