SES Families,
Early this morning we were notified by the Shelby County Sheriff's department of a bomb threat their office received targeting several Indiana schools. In their opinion and ours the threat is credible enough that we believe the safest path forward is to call for an elearning day today, so that we can have time to assess the situation. Teachers will communicate with students and their have lessons posted by 10:00 a.m. Only essential staff should report to school and you will be notified directly if you need to report. We will provide a more detailed update later. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we investigate the situation.
SPRAYING NOTICE: The Morristown campus grounds will be closed on the following days due to spraying the grounds for weeds and fertilization: Friday, April 7, 2023 and Saturday, April 8, 2023.
SES Parents - We have been advised by the weather service of an incoming line of storms around 4:00 p.m. we are expediting our dismissal this afternoon by 5 minutes. If your student rides the bus, you can expect them home five minutes earlier. Have a safe and hopefully dry weekend.
Waldron Parents - We have some roads in your area that are covered in water. If your road typically floods, and your child rides one of our buses, please consider making alternate transportation plans for this afternoon. Any student that we can't get home will be returned to school for parent pickup.
SES will resume our regular schedule today, Thursday, January 26th. See you soon!
SES is will be closed today, January 25th. The snow has started to fall and predictions are for heavy snowfall during our morning commute making it unsafe for our buses. The closure today will be made up on Monday, February 20th (President's Day). Happy snow day everyone!
We are continuing to monitor the incoming winter storm. The timing, temperatures, and snowfall amount predictinos vary greatly in our area . We believe it is best to wait until tomorrow morning to make a decision about a possible school closure. Have a great evening!
SES wants to remind all students and their families that school will not be in session on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Have a great extended weekend!
**Transportation Note**
This week only, students who normally ride bus # 4 at Morristown will ride bus #17. Students who previously rode #17 will be split between bus #11 and #15. Pickup times may vary slightly. Thank you for your patience. Have a great week!
As a reminder, Thanksgiving Break will begin this Wednesday, November 23rd. Classes will resume on Monday, November 28th. 🦃
