The MES music teachers are excited about our upcoming program! Here are some important details as we prepare for next week. The program will take place on Wednesday, April 2nd at 7:00 PM in the main gym of the high school. Students should arrive at 6:45 PM. Students will sit on the visitor's side of the gym with their classmates and teachers so we can make sure everyone is together. Kindergarten students should be dropped off at the risers. This year’s program is all about the solar system! We would like for students to dress in a t-shirt/sweatshirt/top in a color that matches one of their two planets. The shirt colors that go with each class and grade level are as follows: Kindergarten - Ledford: Red, Morris: Orange, Edwards: Yellow First Grade - Metcalf: Beige/Tan, Tillison: Red/Maroon Second Grade - Kuhn: Orange/White, Brinson: Teal Third Grade - Collier: Gold/Dandelion, Songer: Navy Fourth Grade - Burge and Tush: Gray/Brown/White Fifth Grade - Reighley: Blue, Rush: Green If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ms. DeVries or Mr. Thrasher

Good Morning! A few updates and reminders on this beautiful Thursday: 1. Report Cards will be coming home with students in grades K-5 today. If you have any questions, please be sure to contact your child's teacher. 2. Also coming home today is information from the PTA about a walkathon! All donations are due by March 31st. 3. March is Disability Awareness Month. On Monday, March 24th, we invite all students and staff to wear orange to help promote awareness. 4. Lastly, tomorrow (Friday) is the start of Spring Break! School is not in session tomorrow. Students will return back to school on Monday, March 24th. Have a great day and enjoy your Spring Break!

Good Morning! This is a reminder about Kindergarten Roundup this evening here at the elementary starting at 6:00pm (doors will not open before this time). This is for incoming Kindergarten students for the 2025-2026 school year! Childcare will be provided for the incoming Kindergarten students while Mr. Corn and teachers meet separately with parents. All students will receive a goody bag, snacks, and be able to check out a bus before they leave! Please help spread the word!

Good Morning! A message from Mrs. Karnes: "Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $20. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school!" Orders are due by Friday, March 14th. Good Morning and Happy Friday! A couple of announcements as we head into the weekend: 1. We ask that parents no longer park in Sisters parking lot in the morning or afternoon when dropping off or picking up students. The reason for this decision is due to safety concerns. All car riders must use the car rider line that lines up along Locust Street. Please and thank you! 2. Attached is a flyer about a free dental screening for kids ages 3-10. Be sure to check it out! Good Morning, MES Families! This is a reminder that today is the last day of the first semester. Students will be on Christmas Break December 23rd-January 3rd. Students return back from break on Monday, January 6th. We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Enjoy your time with family and friends.

Good Morning, MES Families! A couple of reminders as we head into the weekend: 1. As temperatures begin to turn colder, a reminder to please make sure your child is bundled up each day. If temperatures are 32 degrees or higher, classes may go outside for recess to get some fresh air. 2. A reminder that next week is a short week as we are only in session on Monday and Tuesday. Thanksgiving Break begins on Wednesday, November 27th. Students will return on Monday, December 2nd. 3. Mark your calendars for the evening of Wednesday, December 4th. We will be having an open house from 5:00-7:00pm for the community to check out the new gym! Classes will be starting in there after we return from Thanksgiving Break. Have a great weekend!
