Upon re-evaluating road conditions, Shelby Eastern Schools will be CLOSED and on eLearning today, Monday, February 17th, 2025. Teachers will have assignments posted by 10:00 AM. Stay safe and warm!

In case you missed it.... Morristown Elementary, Jr. High, and Sr. High Schools are doing eLearning Friday, February 14. Check your google classrooms for your assignments. Teachers will have assignments posted by 10 am. Blue River Students do not need to report to BRCP, but they will have assignments posted from their instructors. Attention all parents/guardians of 8th-grade students - Mark your calendars for Freshman Orientation for the Graduation Class of 2029. This year's Freshman Orientation will be on Tuesday, February 25 at 6:30 in the Cafeteria. Please plan for your 8th-grade student and at least one parent/guardian to attend as very important information will be shared about the new graduation /diploma requirements and scheduling for your freshman year.

Ms. Swaney is posting scholarships on Google Classroom pretty regularly right now. Please encourage your student to check the Class of 2025 Google Classroom for scholarship opportunities. If they need any of them printed, they just need to let me know. Also, as a reminder, all seniors must complete the FAFSA by April 15, 2025. This is a state law. The 2025-2026 FAFSA utilizes 2023 tax information. If you and your student choose not to complete the FAFSA, then you will need to sign an opt-out form. Please contact Ms. Swaney if you need the opt-out form or if you have any questions. Parents of 8th Grade Students: We'll be having freshman orientation on February 25th at 6 pm in the cafeteria. We will share information about freshman schedules and provide information on the new diploma requirements. We will also talk about things to expect as students transition from junior high to high school. We hope to see you there!

We broke ground today for the new ag lab space and classroom! I'm excited for our FFA/Ag program and how this will allow it to continue to grow and serve our students!

Congratulations to our December Students of the Month! Thanks also to Sister's for treating these students to lunch last Friday! Aiden Amburgey — Aiden always comes to class prepared with his work completed. He is very helpful to his classmates and has a very good attitude about things. He gives his best in the classroom and tries his hardest in extracurricular activities as well. — Mr. Kreiger Chloe Coons — Chloe is an absolute joy to have in class. She works hard. She is mature in her decisions and uses common sense and sound reasoning to help herself. She goes out of her way to be helpful to others, and she always has a smile and kind word for other students. She makes teaching a joy! — Mr. Gaffney and Mrs. Kuhn Owen Rinzel — He is respectful and responsible. Owen is a good role model for the students he works with in the cadet teaching class. He has his work completed on time and accurately. — Mrs. Nieman Alexus Powers — Alexus is kind and respectful. She volunteers to help me and students as needed. We will be going on time today, 1/10/2025. However, we will be running a Wednesday Early Release schedule and dismissing at our regular Wednesday time of 2:40. Significant snowfall accumulation is not anticipated until after 4 PM for our area. All students will follow our Wednesday schedule.
