Dear MES/MHS families, The administration within Shelby Eastern Schools is always looking for ways to improve and most importantly keep our students safe. In order to do so, we are taking some necessary steps with student drop off and pick up procedures to make this a safer environment for our students. Please note the illustrations provided, as well as the key points for drop off and pick up at MHS. If you are a MES family, please note these changes may affect how you access the MHS parking lot.

Drop off
1. We ask all students to be dropped off for entry at Door 2, south of the main entrance. Please do not let students out in the yellow striped areas.
2. Drop off stalls have been marked out on the parking lot just outside door 2.
3. Please do not turn into the MHS parking lot off of Johnson St. Please enter the parking lot via Patterson St. Use South Street or US 52 to access Paterson St.
4. Do not U-turn on Patterson St after dropping off your child
5. We have created a crosswalk through the front of the MHS parking lot. Please be aware of this if driving and if your student walks to school, please have them use this.
6. The speed limit in front of the school and in the school parking lot is 10 mph, this is for student safety, please adhere to this speed.
Pick Up
1. We ask that students do not cross into Patterson St. from the Main entrance. Students should use the sidewalk to move to the crosswalk or move north toward US 52.
2. If you are picking up, do not park in the yellow painted no parking zones, please park in a spot along the building, preferably nearest Door 2.
3. Please do not turn into the MHS parking lot off of Johnson St. Please enter the parking lot via Patterson St. Use South Street or US 52 to access Paterson St.
4. The speed limit in front of the school and in the school parking lot is 10 mph, this is for student safety, please adhere to this speed.
