On May 16, the School Board started by recognizing the wonderful students at Waldron Elementary School. The School Board went on to approve the purchase of new Chromebooks for 2nd, 6th and 7th grade students. The Board also approved the purchase of a new Visitor Management Program. This will improve the security at each school. More information will be posted once the system is installed at each site.
Shelby Eastern is also looking into a universal free breakfast program for next school year. This will provide free breakfast to all students. The staff and the Board are investigating this program to make sure it is feasible.
