Where did you go to High School and College? What degrees/certifications do you have?
I graduated from LaPorte High School in LaPorte, IN. I graduated from Indiana Central University (now the University of Indianapolis) with a Math Education Major and a Physics Education Minor
Tell us about members of your family.
I have been married to my wife, Debra, for 28 years. She is an RN working at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as an Intervention Radiology Nurse.I have 2 sons, Charlie who is 24 and Thomas who is 20. Charlie is married and has one son, William Steven Dale, born in late July this year (yes I just became a grandpa for the first time!). Charlie is a Coppersmith working in Indianapolis. Thomas is an Assistant Baseball coach here at Waldron
What do you do when you aren't teaching? What are your activities, hobbies, interests?
I am the Junior Varsity Baseball Coach and the Assistant Varsity Baseball coach. I am also the Spell Bowl and Academic Super Bowl Advisor for Waldron. I love camping, hiking, photography, sports, volunteer work and woodworking
What is one thing that our student don't know about you?
I am 1/8 Native
American Indian with a heritage of the Cherokee and the Miami Nations. I have
written a Native American Cookbook with my favorite dishes from several
different tribes, it has not been published by a publisher but is available to
Boy Scouts and friends.
I also play the Native American Flute for relaxation and have sung with a Native
American Drum.

Don’t be afraid of trying something new! You’ll never know if you like it if you don’t try!
